Every morning, I get up, make a pot of coffee, and read & respond to emails from engaged couples asking about my pricing, what’s included, etc… and they are not always in Maine. Sometimes they are even as far as Southern California. While responding to these messages I’ve noticed one thing… A lot do not respond once they realize my location. They either assume I do not travel or that I charge insane travel fees- Neither are true.

When they do reply after finding out my location, I hear “I wish you were closer” 9 times out of 10. Well, good news! I travel often and it really isn’t that expensive. Once I explain the pricing behind my travel costs, many end up booking with me in the end. Most are excited to find out that I will come to them for less than they initially figured it to cost.

I do not charge an extra “fee” for traveling to you. You pay for the plane ticket, car (and the gas), hotel, and food for three days- the day before, the day of, and the day after your wedding. I ask that you do not take it upon yourself to book these items for me. You’re getting married and the last thing you need to add to your plate is worrying about how your photographer will get there and where s/he will stay.

It merely depends on how far in advance you are willing to book with me and if you’re on the East Coast or the West Coast. Obviously, East Coast is a little less expensive because I live on this side of the country as well. As long as we book and hold your date at least 50 days in advance, I am able to book travel for a lower cost than normal.

There are a couple states that are generally less expensive for me to travel to as well- Florida and Texas. Why? Florida is cheaper to get to because Jet Blue Airlines offers great ticket prices from Maine. Texas is cheaper because I have family in most major cities- cutting out hotel fees for you.

If you’re getting married in Boston, Washington DC, or New York City you’re in luck! I am looking to add these cities to my wedding portfolio and I would be willing to offer you special pricing. (Message me directly for details.)

I am also interested in adding creative, fun, themed weddings to my portfolio.
