“A mother’s joy begins when new life is stirring inside… when a tiny heartbeat is heard for the very first time, and a playful kick reminds her that she is never alone.” – Author Unknown Pregnancy is probably one of the shortest times in a woman’s life, yet it is most full of anticipation, excitement, surprise and wonder. Some women feel their most beautiful pregnant. I encourage every pregnant women

Last Saturday I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Chris and Betsy Hallweaver of North Girl, LLC. They may be two of the most profound people I have come across. They have picked up a friend’s vision of fresh, organic food that was lost to cancer. He had come so far that the Hallweavers couldn’t stand to see it all be wasted. They found a kitchen on Loring Air Force
There is no doubt in my mind you have a million and one questions for the photographers you are looking into booking for your big day. I have come up with a simple list of the most important questions to ask the photographers you are looking at. Question #1: Do you have my wedding date available? This may be the most important question to ask. Once you have the answer

….yeah, you heard me correctly. The other day, a group of friends and I were professing our love for bacon. Bacon wraps, fried bacon, baked bacon, ham with woven bacon on top, bacon stuffing… and then I threw a wild card into the mix… CANDIED bacon. No one had ever heard of such a thing. I couldn’t believe it! I told them about the most wonderful dessert I’ve ever encountered:

For those of you that do not know, I am a very crafty person and love to make things with my hands. My friend Jenna, over at Upcountry-Living.com, is the same way and it is wonderful! Jenna texted me asking if I would like to accompany her to the craft show at UMFK. Of course! We met women who make soap, knit whole sweaters, build dolls, and create Christmas ornaments

It is a hardy bush up here that not only survives the winters, but thrives on them. Crazy, right? We were there to cut down the fresh dogwood.

Say that five times fast! Walking through the doors, we were greeted by the pleasant smell of mom’s made-from-scratch chicken stew and tables arranged in a buffet-style square. It all looked absolutely perfect. Bright red cranberries, piercing green Granny Smith apples topped with cream cheese and nuts, gluten-free deserts, and an assortment of teas, juices, and cider. The best part? All organic, all GMO-free, and all local. I made a

“He’s of the colour of the nutmeg. And of the heat of the ginger…. he is pure air and fire; and the dull elements of earth and water never appear in him, but only in patient stillness while his rider mounts him; he is indeed a horse, and all other jades you may call beasts.” -William Shakespeare, Henry V. It was a cool 42* when I woke up Sunday morning.

Very good question! I often find (or rather, they find me!) many, many brides who would love to use me and absolutely adore my work, but cannot afford my services. To that, I say, be honest with your photographer. If you love their work and express this, they may be willing to work with you and within your budget. I have been known to help couples out. The worst the

Anyone who knows me knows that I love food and I love cooking almost as much as photography. My mother taught me a lot in the kitchen on her seldom days off growing up. I must thank her in an exquisite way someday. Maybe with a delicious meal? You might also know that I am a bit of a nut when it comes to my food. I want to know where
